About the role

We are looking for anenthusiastic and experienced Occupational Therapist to join ourexpanding team. In the role you would be expected toimplement a holistic, therapeutic and dynamic approach to helpingour vulnerable children in their daily lives - ensuring they aresafe, comfortable and their occupational and sensory needssupported throughout their day. Undertaking all aspects ofOccupational Therapy clinical duties, you would be expected tocarry out standardised and non-standardised assessments, bespokeinterventions, and prepare relevant documentation - includingwriting reports and sensory profiles. In addition, you will provideinformation and training to staff, commissioners and otheragencies as required.
You would be workingwithin our well-established and supportive multi-disciplinarytherapy team to help create an environment where our vulnerableadults can flourish, learn and develop. The team includesPsychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy andtherapy assistants. Someone with a rounded and integratedapproach to care and clinical services would be perfect for thisrole.

Essential Criteria:
Occupational Therapy BSc(Hons)
Registered with theHCPC
Experience of workingwith children and who have an intellectual disability and/or autismwith additional needs (e.g. complex trauma, mental health needs,behaviours of concern)
Ability to work collaboratively with a range ofkey partners
Able to worksensitively with people and resolve conflicteffectively
Evidence ofcontinuing professional development relevant to thesetting
Substantial andrelevant post-qualification experience with children and youngpeople.
Experience oflecturing/teaching/training
Skills in the management of data are alsoimportant as the role includes collecting and analysing data toinform various pieces of service delivery, development and projectwork.
Experience of workingwith or qualification in sensory integration.
Experience of supervision and training ofstaff.
